At this time, we are looking for experienced contract web professionals to join our Consortium. We are seeking to hire experienced senior Web Designers. All design positions are currently contractor-based and paid hourly or by the project. We are looking to hire candidates living in the San Francisco Bay Area, though we will consider telecommute applicants in other regions as well.

Consortium Web Designers Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of professional web design experience.
- 4+ years of creative design experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe GoLive, PhotoShop, ImageReady, Illustrator, gif animation, Live Motion, Flash, BbEdit, , InDesign, and all the other tools used in web design.
- Proficient with HTML, JavaScript, cgi, advance DHTML, style sheets.
- Knowledgeable about information web site architecture, user interface, branding and identity.
- Understands database integration and web applications.
- Experience with, or thorough understanding of, print, desktop, and CD-ROM publishing is required.
- Proven track record of developing creative and successful web site projects.
- Ability to understand client needs and create graphics appropriate to those needs.
- Thorough understanding of graphic optimization as it relates to different publishing platforms.
- Trained in PC and Mac platforms.
- Prefer Mac based designers with state of the art equipment and licensed software.
- Possesses a deep understanding AND passion for web design / development HTML, and Internet technologies.
